Stephanie Browne
Director/ Owner
Dance & Competition Teacher
Stephanie trained at the ‘The London School of Musical Theatre’ and ‘Musical Theatre Ireland’.
She has directed and choreographed many Musicals including ‘Hairspray’, ‘The Addams Family’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Sister Act’, ‘Anything Goes’, to name but a few.
A performer herself, she has played parts such as ‘Doloras’ in Sister Act, ‘Judy Bernly’ in 9-5, ‘Anita’ in West Side Story, ‘Eponine in ‘Les Miserables, ’Nicole’ in When Midnight Strikes, ‘Lap Dancer’ in Lift. She has played ‘Tappin Cracker Jack’ in Redhead, ‘Edith’ in Pirates of Penzance, ‘Shiela’ in Hair. Stephanie was part of the Vocal trio that won the World Championships of Performing Arts in 2017. She acted as both competitor and Team Coach.
Máire Long
Assistant Director
Singing & Acting Teacher
Máire Long qualified with a Bachelor of Education with Drama and Music from Mary Immaculate College in 2021. Máire has been a member of Nenagh Choral Society since 2014 taking on the role of Sister Mary Robert in their 2019 production of 'Sister Act'. Máire has been part of many music groups having performed in Italy, Germany and Wales.
Máire has been teaching with MTAN since January 2019 and is now also our assistant director.
Jessica Bray
Singing & Acting Teacher
Jessica Bray studied Musical Theatre Performance at The Guildford School of Acting, UK. She graduated with a BA Hons (Performance) in Musical Theatre in 2008.
Whilst in training, Jessica received the Sir Michael Redgrave Scholarship and the Sir John Gielgud award for Musical Theatre.
Jessica works as a Performer, Teacher and Director. Whilst in the UK, Jessica Worked with Stage Coach Theatre arts as Teacher of "Early Stages Musical Theatre"
Jessica joined MTAN in September 2018 and is a huge asset to the academy.
Sophie Hayes
Acro Teacher
Sophie started gymnastics with Limerick Gymnastics Club at the age of eight. She trained with this club for ten years competing in many Regional and All Ireland competitions. She completed her GymSTART level 1 coaching course and has been coaching with Midlands Gymnastics Club for many years now. She recently passed her judging exams and has been judging in both Club and All Ireland competitions.
Sophie joined MTAN in 2019 and we are so happy to have Sophie on board our team!
Caroline Browne
Dance Teacher
Caroline has been a member of MTAN since it opened. She has taken part in many competitions with the academy, including the World Championship of Performing Arts where she was awarded a World Champion Title as part of the Vocal Trio from MTAN.
Caroline is currently studying in Mary Immaculate College. We are delighted to have Caroline on board our staff this year.
Megan Maher
Dance Teacher
Megan has been a student at MTAN since the very first class in 2014. Megan’s main trained dance types are tap, jazz and musical theatre but she also learns contemporary and hip hop. Megan is also trained in singing and acting. Megan became a dance teacher at MTAN in 2020 and we are over the moon to have her on our team. Her classes consist of technique and dance routines.
Megan is currently training at the College of Dance in Dublin.
Rachel Browne
Admin Associate
Rachel has been part of the academy since it started in 2016. Starting as a student, she competed and performed with the academy on many occasions. Now working in childcare, Rachel has a great rapport with children. You'll see Rachel's smiling face floating around at the front desk and helping out in classes.
Hazel Howard
Teacher's Assistant
Hazel is a current student at MTAN and loves all aspects of performing. She has competed and performed with the academy on many occasions. She has won numerous titles as well as performing on RTÉ Jnrs 'Donnchas Two Talented'. Hazel assists in Stephanie's dance classes on a Thursday. Hazel would love to pursue Musical Theatre when she is older and is loving gaining experiences while assisting in class.
Alice Kilgannon
Teacher's Assistant
Alice is a current student at MTAN. She has competed and performed with the academy on many occasions, performing in "Beats of the Elites" in summer 2021. Alice assists in Stephanie's dance classes on a Tuesday.
Camly Byrne
Teacher's Assistant
Camly is a current student at MTAN. She has competed and performed with the academy on many occasions, performing in "Beats of the Elites" in summer 2021. Camly assists in Stephanie's dance classes on a Friday.
Jayden Guillfoyle
Teacher's Assistant
Jayden is a current student at MTAN. He has competed and performed with the academy on many occasions. Most recently he was awarded 'Best Vocalist' at the All Ireland Variety Show in Trabolgan. Jayden assists in Thursdays dance classes.
